Procedure
For those who experience wobbliness with their petit apprenti learning tower, we provide free wooden dowels covered with a dry glue coating that is water-activated. This will provide a permanent bond between the parts of the tower and will eliminate the wobbliness.

Here is the 5-step Replacement Procedure (about 10-15 minutes total).
*** This task should be carried out by someone with a minimum of handyman skills to ensure success and prevent any further issues. ***
Tools needed:
-
A star screwdriver (Phillips #2 which is the most common)
-
A pair of pliers, similar to this one, see link for an example: https://www.homedepot.ca/product/crescent-plunger-joint-grout-dble-mat-z2-6-in/1001720428
-
A rubber mallet, here is a link to an example: https://www.homedepot.ca/product/stanley-stanley-16-oz-rubber-mallet/1001590133
Take your time to follow the steps below, and refer to the assembly manual if necessary (link at the bottom of this page in red).
- You must disassemble the learning tower using a star screwdriver and a rubber mallet (not mandatory but recommended). When disassembling, make sure to align the fitting cams (round metal hardware parts) of each part in the original position. The original position is when the small arrow engraved on the fitting cam points outward. See image below.
2. On the middle parts of the tower (stability bars and step), remove the current wooden dowels. Method: Using a pair of pliers as recommended in the example above, pinch the dowel while twisting it from left to right in order to remove it from its hole. Repeat this for all wooden dowels.
3. When all the dowels are removed, you must now install the new blue dowels one by one, but first, you must soak each dowel for about two seconds in a cup of water to activate the glue (delayed activation). Be careful, once wet, the blue color dye of the dowel may rub off a little. Now, insert the wet wooden dowel into a hole provided for this purpose (not the middle ones, they are for the assembly screws only!) using a rubber mallet to ensure that it is fully seated. Repeat this step for all the blue wooden dowels.
4. Once all the blue dowels are installed on the middle parts of the tower, waste no time before reassembling the learning tower using a rubber mallet to insert the pieces together properly (without any visible gap between them). Remember to lock all the fitting cams (round metal hardware parts) clockwise to the maximum (about a half to 3/4 turn). Refer to the 2-in 1 learning tower Assembly Manual, or the Simone (single or twin) learning tower Assembly Manual depending on which model you own.
5. The glue takes effect after about an hour, and reaches its maximum effectiveness after 24 hours. Please wait this long before using the learning tower again.
We are confident that if you carefully follow these steps, this will permanently fix the issue.
